We're not a press release machine. We read the council agendas, check the court files, and follow the stories people are actually talking about, then tell you what's going on in plain English.

Bakken Media is run by someone who works out here, not someone who drives through. Pipeline, measurement, HVAC, concrete. If it happens in the Bakken, we probably know someone who was there.

How we work

  • Facts first. We report what official records and sources say, and we tell you where it came from.
  • Innocent until proven guilty. An arrest or a lawsuit is not a conviction, and we write it that way.
  • We fix mistakes. If we get something wrong, we correct it out in the open.
